My Bio
My name is Lucy Ericson, and I am a third year double major and double minor. I am still talked about in my high school for my art, and I went into college ready to make myself in the world with my honest obsession with the subject despite society's often negative thoughts on it. While I still have a major in art, I had a Computer Science second major for a while, and now have a double major in Studio Art and New Media. I definitively plan on animating for Pixar. This summer I fell in love with Mechanical Engineering Technology thanks to a wonderful internship and have subsequently added MET as a second minor to Art History. I am infinitely curious and excited to learn and plan on doing everything and anything I am interested in in life.
Creative Statement
Everything inspires me; I am extremely analytical and observant, and subsequently take everything and everyone around me as a point of inspiration. New Media gives me the opportunity to get an edge in emerging technologies so I can be a better asset to teams as I can teach myself better and know programs and methods as they come out. This edge will also allow me to be more creative, exposing me to alternative ideas and ways to express myself or produce products and services that are useful to people. The program has already made me much more aware of technology.
